Autism Spectrum
Autism is a neurodevelopmental difference, not an illness, that affects how a person communicates, socializes, and experiences the world. Our role isn't to change who someone is, but to support co-occurring challenges that sometimes accompany autism, such as anxiety, ADHD, mood changes, or sleep difficulties, and to help patients and families access the right resources.
Do you diagnose autism?
We can evaluate for autism as part of a broader psychiatric assessment, and will refer out for specialized developmental testing when a more comprehensive autism evaluation is appropriate.
What kind of support do you provide for autistic patients?
We focus on co-occurring mental health needs, anxiety, ADHD, mood concerns, or sleep issues, that can accompany autism, using medication management and therapy referrals as appropriate.
Do you see both children and adults?
Yes, we see autistic patients across age groups, with care adjusted to fit each person's needs and communication preferences.
